Being There swings from the cocky-guitar raucousness of “Outtasite (Outta Mind)” on the first disc to the fatalistic acoustic strumming of “Someone Else’s Song” on the second CD.

One of the best LP sets I own. Flat, quiet, and the outtakes are excellent as well. It's like having a new wilco album from back in the day. I will say, on A/B comparison on my modest setup, that there wasn't a whole of a lot of difference between the Chris Bellman mastering on this issue, and the master by Bernie Grundman.

May 29,  · It’s shocking how big the gap is between not just those first two albums, but within Being There itself’s first and fourth tracks! “Misunderstood” pushing the boundaries and looking ahead, “Outtasite (Outta Mind” epitomizing the catchy, yet still slightly twangy, pop/rock and taking it up a notch from sister songs like “I Must Be.
